Adding and Viewing Photos in Your BookLive Media Library

Your group’s Media Library holds the photos and videos that show up on your public BookLive profile, your Performing Site, and your proposals. This article covers the Photos tab: cropping a photo before it’s saved, and opening any photo full-size to check exactly what you uploaded.

Step 1: Open Your Media Library #

1. Log in at https://booklive.com/login.
2. In the left sidebar, click Library, then click Media.
3. Click the Photos tab at the top of the page (next to Videos).

You can also get here from your group’s Profile page (under Marketing in the sidebar) by clicking Manage Gallery Photos in the Photos section.

Step 2: Add and Crop a Photo #

1. Click the + NEW PHOTO tile at the end of the photo grid.
2. Click Choose an image and select a file from your computer. BookLive accepts JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF files up to 12MB.
3. Once the image loads, click Crop.
4. In the photo editor, drag the image to reposition it, and use the zoom slider to zoom in or out. Use Rotate (left or right) if the photo is sideways, or Reset to undo your adjustments.
5. Click Save Photo when the crop looks right. The gallery uses a 3:2 crop — the same shape visitors see on your public profile.
6. Back in the Add Photo dialog, enter a Title for the photo.
7. Click Add Photo to upload it to your gallery.

Didn’t get the crop right? Click Crop again on the preview before you click Add Photo, or click Remove to pick a different image entirely.

Step 3: View a Photo Full-Size #

The grid shows the cropped 3:2 thumbnail, but you can check the whole photo you actually saved at any time:

1. Click any photo thumbnail in the grid (not the edit or delete icons underneath it).
2. The photo opens full-size, with its title and a counter (for example, 3 of 12) at the top.
3. Use the arrow buttons on either side of the photo — or the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard — to move to the next or previous photo without closing the viewer.
4. Click the X in the top-right corner to close the viewer.

Tips & Notes #

• Reordering photos. Click and hold the drag handle (the icon at the top of a photo card) and drag it to a new position in the grid.
• Renaming a photo. Click the pencil icon under a photo to edit its title.
• Deleting a photo. Click the trash icon under a photo to remove it from the gallery.
• Missing files. If a photo’s underlying file can’t be loaded, the grid and the full-size viewer both show a “This photo could not be loaded” notice instead of a broken image.
• Videos work the same way on the Videos tab, but don’t go through the crop editor — you add them by pasting a YouTube or Vimeo link.
