Creating and Using Setlists

Setlists help you pre-arrange groups of songs for performances. Create setlists for different event types or duration packages, then quickly apply them to new performances.

What Are Setlists? #

A setlist is a saved collection of songs in a specific order. Common uses include:

  • Duration packages – “1 Hour Pop Set”, “2 Hour Jazz Set”
  • Event types – “Wedding Ceremony”, “Cocktail Hour”, “Reception”
  • Seasonal sets – “Holiday Set”, “Summer Favorites”
  • Genre sets – “Classical Only”, “Top 40 Mix”

Creating a Setlist #

  1. Navigate to your group’s Setlists section
  2. Click Create Setlist
  3. Enter a descriptive name for the setlist
  4. Click Save

Adding Songs to a Setlist #

  1. Open the setlist
  2. Click Add Songs
  3. Search for songs in your library
  4. Select songs to add
  5. Songs are added in the order selected

Reordering Songs #

Songs in a setlist can be reordered:

  • Drag and drop songs to change their position
  • The position is saved automatically
  • Order is preserved when applying the setlist to performances

Removing Songs #

To remove a song from a setlist:

  1. Open the setlist
  2. Find the song you want to remove
  3. Click the delete icon next to it
  4. Confirm the removal

This only removes the song from the setlist, not from your library.

Using Setlists in Performances #

When building a timeline for a performance:

  1. Open the timeline section
  2. Click Add Songs
  3. Select Add Setlist
  4. Choose the setlist to add
  5. All songs from the setlist are added in order

Creating Setlists from Timelines #

If you’ve arranged songs perfectly for a performance, you can save that arrangement as a reusable setlist:

  1. Go to the performance timeline
  2. Click Save as Setlist
  3. Enter a name for the new setlist
  4. The timeline’s song order is preserved

Deleting Setlists #

To delete a setlist you no longer need:

  1. Go to your Setlists section
  2. Find the setlist
  3. Click Delete
  4. Confirm the deletion

Deleting a setlist does not affect the songs in your library or any performances that used the setlist.

Best Practices #

  • Use descriptive names – Make it clear what the setlist is for
  • Keep them updated – Remove songs you no longer perform
  • Create variety – Have setlists for different moods and occasions
  • Save great arrangements – When a timeline works perfectly, save it as a setlist
