Keeping your client list clean and organized helps you stay focused on active leads and current bookings. If you need to remove a client who is no longer relevant — a duplicate entry, a test contact, or someone you no longer work with — BookLive makes it easy to delete them directly from your client record. This article explains how to delete a client and what to expect when you do.
Before You Begin #
- You must be the group leader (or have the appropriate permissions) to delete clients.
- Deletion is permanent from a user perspective. Once a client is deleted, there is no way to restore them through the BookLive interface. Make sure you no longer need the client’s contact information, notes, or history before proceeding.
- If the client is linked to active or upcoming performances, consider resolving those gigs first — or at minimum, note the relevant details before deleting.
Step 1: Log In and Open Your Client List #
- Go to https://booklive.com/login and sign in to your account.
- From the left sidebar, navigate to Clients.
Step 2: Open the Client Record #
- Find the client you want to delete. You can scroll through your list or use the search bar to locate them by name or email.
- Click the client’s name to open their record.
Step 3: Delete the Client #
- Inside the client record, look for the Delete option. This is typically found in the action menu (often represented by a three-dot or gear icon) near the top of the page.
- Click Delete.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
The client will be removed from your active client list immediately.
What Happens to Linked Data? #
When you delete a client, the following associated data is also removed from your view:
- Contact information — name, email, phone, address
- Notes and activity history — any notes you’ve logged on the client record
- Emails — messages sent or received through BookLive for this client
- Proposals — any proposals tied to this client
Performances (gigs) that were linked to this client will remain in your calendar and performance list — the gig data is preserved even after the client is deleted.
Tips & Notes #
- Consider exporting first. If you want to retain a record of the client’s contact details or history, copy or export the information before deleting.
- Duplicates? If you have duplicate client records, deleting one is the right move — just make sure the record you keep has all the important notes and history.
- Not sure yet? You don’t have to delete a client just to keep your list tidy. You can use tags and filters to organize clients without removing them. See Managing Client Contacts and Information in BookLive for more on organizing your client list.
