Discovering Business Listing Opportunities in BookLive

Business Listing Opportunities is a curated directory inside BookLive that surfaces online directories and citation sites where you can list your group to attract more clients. Each listing includes coverage area, pricing type, and a direct link so you can sign up for the ones that fit your market — all from one place inside your dashboard.

Before You Begin #

  • You must be a group leader to access Marketing features.
  • Listings are informational — signing up for any directory happens on the external site. BookLive does not create the listings on your behalf.

Step 1: Open Business Listings #

  1. Log in at https://booklive.com/login and go to your group dashboard.
  2. In the left sidebar, expand Marketing.
  3. Click Business Listings.

The page loads a table of listing opportunities curated for musicians and performing groups.

Step 2: Filter the Listings #

Use the three filter dropdowns at the top of the table to narrow down the results:

  • Filter by Coverage — Choose Nationwide to see directories that reach clients across the country, or Local to focus on region-specific directories. Select All to see everything.
  • Filter by Pricing — Choose Free, Subscription, or One-Time to match your budget. Select All to see every option.
  • Filter by Type — Choose Directory (listings clients browse to find performers) or Citation (business listing sites that boost your SEO). Select All to see both.

Filters apply immediately — no need to click a search button. Use the Refresh Listings button in the top-right corner to reload the latest opportunities from BookLive.

Step 3: Review Each Opportunity #

Each row in the table shows:

  • Name — The directory or citation site name, linked directly to the site so you can evaluate it before committing.
  • Type — Directory or Citation.
  • Coverage — A colored chip indicating Nationwide (blue) or Local (green).
  • Pricing — A colored chip showing Free (green), Subscription (orange), or One-Time (blue).
  • Price Range — The typical cost if applicable.

Click the listing name to open the site in a new tab and review what’s involved before taking action.

Step 4: Take Action on a Listing #

Each row has two action buttons:

  • Mark as Signed Up — Click this after you’ve successfully listed your group on that site. The listing will be removed from your active opportunities view so you don’t see it again, and your progress is tracked.
  • Dismiss — Click this to remove a listing you’re not interested in. It won’t appear again in your opportunities list.

Use these buttons to keep your opportunities list clean and actionable — only show listings that still need attention.

Tips & Notes #

  • Start with free listings. Filter by Pricing → Free to capture all the no-cost opportunities first. These require only a time investment and can improve your search visibility immediately.
  • Citation sites help your SEO. Even if a citation site doesn’t send direct client leads, consistent business information across directories (name, address, phone number) improves how search engines rank your group’s website.
  • Nationwide directories are best for touring acts. If you perform across multiple cities, prioritize Nationwide directories. Local-only directories are better if your bookings are concentrated in one market.
  • Affiliate disclosure. Some listing links are affiliate links, meaning BookLive may earn a small commission if you purchase a paid plan. This comes at no additional cost to you.
