Adding a client to a gig on BookLive is essential for keeping all gig-related information organized. This allows you to easily access client details, automatically populate contracts, and streamline communication with clients through automated emails for contracts, invoices, and reminders.

Before you start, ensure you have the following:
- A BookLive account.
- A group profile set up on BookLive.
- A gig already set up.
Step-by-Step Guide: #
1. Log into Your BookLive Dashboard #
- Open your web browser and go to BookLive Login.
- Enter your email and password.
- Click the “Log In” button to access your dashboard.
2. Navigate to the Gig #
- Locate the gig to which you want to add a client. For this example, we’ll use a fake gig on September 28.
- Open the performance dashboard for the selected gig.
3. Add a Client #
- Below the gig title, locate the “Add Client” button. This button will be red if no client is attached to the gig.
- Click the “Add Client” button to open a pop-up window.
4. Search for an Existing Client or Create a New Client #
- Search for an Existing Client:
- Start typing the client’s name in the search box.
- If the client is already in your database, their name will appear in the search results. Click on their name to add them to the gig.
- Create a New Client:
- If no results appear in the search, you will be prompted to create a new client.
- Click “Create New Client” and fill out the client’s details:
- Name: Enter the client’s name.
- Email Address: Enter the client’s email.
- Phone Number: Enter the client’s phone number.
- Company: (Optional) Enter the client’s company if they are a corporate client.
- Address: (Optional) Enter the client’s address if needed for mailing invoices or contracts.
- Lead Source: Select the lead source from the dropdown menu. If the appropriate lead source is not listed, scroll to the bottom and create a new lead source.
- Click “Save” to add the client to the gig.
5. Review and Utilize Client Information #
- After adding the client, click on their name to access additional features:
- Inbox: View a dedicated inbox for communication with the client.
- Client Profile: View the client’s profile and any other gigs they have booked with you.
- Remove Client: Click this option to remove the client from the gig if necessary.
6. Add a Client Independently of a Gig #
- To add a client to the BookLive database without attaching them to a gig:
- In the top right corner, click the “New” button with the plus sign.
- Select “Client” from the dropdown menu.
- Fill out the client’s details and click “Save” to add them to the database.
