Creating your act on BookLive is the first necessary step for band leaders or directors of musical acts to streamline management tasks such as staffing gigs, collecting payments, writing and sending contracts, creating setlists, distributing sheet music, and more. This guide will walk you through the process of creating your act on BookLive.

Prerequisites: #
Before you start, ensure you have the following:
- A BookLive account. If you don’t have one, please reach out to us at info@booklive.com, and we’ll provide you with access as part of your BookLive subscription.
- Logged into your BookLive account.
Step-by-Step Guide: #
1. Log into Your BookLive Dashboard #
- Open your web browser and go to BookLive Login.
- Enter your email and password.
- Click the “Log In” button to access your dashboard.
2. Navigate to the Act Creation Section #
- From the home screen, locate the top navigation menu that has the word “Home” and a home icon.
- Click on “Home” to open the navigation menu.
- If you have previously created acts, they will be listed here. If not, the list will be empty.
- At the bottom of the list, you will see a plus sign with the words “Add Group.” Click this button to open the onboarding experience for creating your group.
3. Choose Your Onboarding Experience #
- You will be provided with two options to get started:
- Book More Gigs: This option guides you through an onboarding experience focused on creating networking opportunities with venues and event planners.
- Simplify Management: This option focuses on the back-office tasks such as contracts, payments, and scheduling.
- For this demonstration, select “Simplify Management.”
4. Customize Your Onboarding Experience #
- You will be asked what you want to learn more about. Select any of the options that interest you.
- Click the “Get Started” button.
5. Enter Act Details #
- Fill out the form with your act’s name. For this example, we’ll use “Rocky Mountain Boulders.”
- Enter your state (e.g., Colorado).
- Enter your city. If your specific city isn’t listed, choose the nearest city.
- Click the “Complete Onboarding” button.
6. Access Your Act Dashboard #
- After completing the onboarding form, you will be taken to your Act Dashboard.
- Congratulations! You have officially created your act on BookLive and now have access to all the management, marketing, and sales tools for your act.
