How to Edit Videos on Your WordPress Site Using Elementor

  • Received an email from BookLive with a link to log in to your WordPress site, along with a username and password.

Step-by-Step Guide: #

1. Log into Your WordPress Dashboard #

  • Open your web browser and go to your site’s URL.
  • Add /wp-admin to the end of the URL.
  • Enter your username and password.
  • Click the “Log In” button to access your WordPress dashboard.

2. Navigate to the Pages Section #

  • On the left-hand side menu, click on “Pages.”
  • Select “All Pages” from the submenu.

3. Find and Edit the Desired Page #

  • Browse through the list of pages to find the one containing the video you want to change.
  • Hover over the page name (e.g., “Videos”).
  • Click on “Edit with Elementor” that appears when you hover.

4. Load the Elementor Page Editor #

  • Wait for the Elementor page editor to load. This may take about 30 seconds.
  • You will see a mockup of your page on the right side and the Elementor modules on the left.

5. Locate the Video to Edit #

  • Scroll through the page mockup on the right until you find the video you want to replace.
  • Hover over the video without clicking. A pink icon with a pencil will appear.

6. Open the Video Editor #

  • Click the pink pencil icon to edit the video.
  • The left side of the screen will now display the video editor settings.

7. Replace the Video Link #

  • In the video editor, find the link text box.
  • Copy the URL of the new video you want to use (e.g., from YouTube).
  • Go back to the Elementor editor, right-click in the link text box, select all, delete, and then paste the new video URL.

8. Update and Save Changes #

  • Verify that the preview on the right side reflects the new video.
  • Click the pink “Update” button at the bottom of the left-hand editor.
  • Wait for the button to stop spinning and turn black, indicating the changes are saved.
