Managing Your Email Notification Preferences in BookLive

BookLive can send you email and text reminders so you never miss an upcoming gig or an important message from a client. This article walks you through finding your notification settings and toggling each option on or off to match your preferences.

Before You Begin #

  • You have an active BookLive account.
  • You are logged into BookLive at booklive.com/login.

Step 1: Open Account Settings #

  1. Log into your BookLive dashboard at booklive.com/login.
  2. Click your profile picture (or the grey avatar icon) in the top-right corner of the screen.
  3. Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
  4. On the Settings page, click the Notifications tab.

Step 2: Configure Your Notification Preferences #

The Notifications tab contains a set of toggles. Each toggle is independent — you can enable or disable them in any combination.

Performance Reminder Emails #

Toggle Receive Performance Reminder Emails? to enable or disable email reminders before upcoming gigs. When enabled, BookLive will send you an email reminder ahead of each scheduled performance so you can confirm logistics, review details, and arrive prepared.

Performance Reminder Texts #

Toggle Receive Performance Reminder Texts? to enable or disable SMS reminders for upcoming gigs. These messages are sent to the phone number associated with your BookLive account.

Gig Chat Texts #

Toggle Receive Gig Chat Texts? to receive an SMS notification whenever a new message arrives in a gig chat thread. This is especially useful if you’re away from your dashboard and want to respond quickly to clients or collaborators.

Step 3: Save Your Changes #

Your preferences are saved automatically the moment you toggle a switch — there is no separate Save button on the Notifications tab. You’ll see a brief confirmation message at the bottom of the screen after each change.

Tips & Notes #

  • SMS notifications use your account phone number. If you haven’t added a phone number to your account yet, SMS notifications will not be delivered. You can add or update your phone number from the Profile tab in Account Settings.
  • Email notifications go to your login email. If you recently changed your email address, confirm the new address is correct under the Profile tab so reminders reach your inbox.
  • All three toggles are on by default for new accounts. If you’re not receiving expected notifications, check that the relevant toggle is enabled.
  • Performance reminder timing (how far in advance reminders are sent) is set by BookLive and applies to all users — you cannot customize the timing interval from this screen.
