Once you have connected Stripe to BookLive, your payments are deposited to your bank account automatically. This guide covers how to manage your payouts and access your funds.
How Payouts Work #
When clients pay through BookLive:
- Payment is processed by Stripe
- Funds are held in your Stripe balance
- Stripe automatically transfers to your bank account
- Transfer follows your payout schedule
Default Payout Schedule #
By default, Stripe pays out on a rolling basis:
- US accounts – 2 business days after payment
- New accounts – May have 7-14 day delay initially
The delay helps protect against chargebacks and fraud.
Accessing the Stripe Dashboard #
To view detailed payment information:
- Go to dashboard.stripe.com
- Sign in with your Stripe credentials
- View your balance, payments, and payouts
You can also access Stripe from BookLive Settings by clicking View Stripe Dashboard.
What You Can See in Stripe #
- Balance – Available and pending funds
- Payments – All received payments
- Payouts – Transfers to your bank
- Customers – Client payment history
- Reports – Financial reports and tax documents
Changing Payout Settings #
In your Stripe Dashboard, you can adjust:
Payout Schedule #
- Daily (default)
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Manual
Bank Account #
- Add additional bank accounts
- Change your primary payout account
- Set up backup accounts
Understanding Your Balance #
- Available balance – Funds ready for payout
- Pending balance – Payments still processing
- Reserved – Funds held for potential refunds or disputes
Fees #
Stripe charges processing fees on each payment. These are deducted before the payout:
- Standard rate: 2.9% plus 30 cents per transaction
- Fees may vary based on card type and payment method
Tax Information #
Stripe provides tax documents for your earnings:
- 1099-K – If you meet IRS thresholds
- Available in your Stripe Dashboard under Documents
- Usually available by January 31st for the previous year
Troubleshooting Payouts #
Payout Not Received #
- Check your payout schedule in Stripe
- Verify bank account information is correct
- Look for any pending verification requirements
Payout Failed #
- Bank may have rejected the transfer
- Update your bank account information
- Contact your bank if issues persist
