BookLive Pay allows artists to receive payments directly through the platform. This guide covers how to set up your individual Stripe account to start accepting payments.
What is BookLive Pay? #
BookLive Pay is powered by Stripe Connect and enables:
- Direct tip payments from clients
- Performance payments
- Automatic payouts to your bank account
- Secure payment processing
Starting the Setup #
To set up BookLive Pay:
- Go to your Settings
- Find the BookLive Pay or Payments section
- Click Set Up Payments or Connect with Stripe
- You will be redirected to Stripe to complete setup
Stripe Onboarding Process #
During Stripe onboarding, you will need to provide:
Personal Information #
- Legal name
- Date of birth
- Last 4 digits of SSN (or full SSN for verification)
- Home address
Business Information #
- Type of business (individual/sole proprietor for most artists)
- Business name (can be your performance name)
- Industry (entertainment/music services)
Bank Account #
- Bank name
- Account number
- Routing number
This is where your payouts will be deposited.
Completing Onboarding #
After providing all information:
- Review your details
- Accept Stripe terms of service
- Submit your application
- You will be redirected back to BookLive
Most accounts are approved instantly. Some may require additional verification.
After Setup #
Once your BookLive Pay is active:
- Your payment status will show as Connected
- You can receive tips and payments through BookLive
- Payouts happen automatically on Stripe schedule
- Access your Stripe dashboard for detailed payment info
Verification Requirements #
Stripe may ask for additional verification:
- ID verification – Photo of government ID
- Address verification – Utility bill or bank statement
- Business verification – EIN letter if applicable
Complete any pending verification in your Stripe dashboard to ensure uninterrupted payouts.
