Sales Cadences are automated outreach workflows that help you stay organized when reaching out to potential partners. They guide you through a series of steps – emails, calls, and tasks – to convert leads into active partnerships.
What is a Sales Cadence? #
A Sales Cadence is a pre-defined sequence of outreach actions. For example:
- Day 1: Send introduction email
- Day 3: Follow-up call
- Day 7: Send additional info email
- Day 14: Final follow-up call
The cadence tracks your progress and reminds you when each action is due.
Creating a Sales Cadence #
To create a new cadence:
- Go to Sales Cadences in your settings or Gig Vault
- Click Create New Cadence
- Give your cadence a descriptive name
- Add steps to your cadence
- Save the cadence
Adding Cadence Steps #
Each step in a cadence includes:
Step Type #
- Email – Send an email using a template
- Call – Make a phone call
- Task – Complete a custom action
Delay #
Set how many days to wait after the previous step before this one is due. The first step typically has 0 delay (starts immediately).

Assigning Partnerships to a Cadence #

- Open the partnership detail view
- Click Assign to Cadence
- Select the cadence to use
- Confirm to start the sequence
The first step becomes due immediately (or according to its delay setting).
Working Through Cadence Steps #
As you complete each step:

- Complete the action (send email, make call, finish task)
- Mark the step as complete
- The next step becomes due according to its delay
Pausing and Resuming Cadences #
You can pause a cadence at any time:
- Open the partnership
- Click Pause Cadence
- The sequence stops where it is
- Resume later to continue from that point
Removing from a Cadence #
To remove a partnership from a cadence entirely:
- Open the partnership
- Click Remove from Cadence
- The partnership returns to manual management
Cloning Cadences #
To create a similar cadence based on an existing one:
- Open the cadence you want to copy
- Click Clone or Duplicate
- Modify the copy as needed
- Save with a new name
Tips for Effective Cadences #
- Keep it reasonable – 4-6 steps is usually enough
- Space steps appropriately – Give time for responses
- Mix contact methods – Combine emails with calls
- Have a clear goal – Define what success looks like
- Create different cadences – One for cold outreach, one for re-engagement, etc.
