Setting Up Your Funnel Lead Capture Page

Overview #

The Lead Capture Page is the entry point of your Virtual Showcase Video Funnel. It collects prospect information before granting access to your video content. This guide shows you how to configure an effective lead capture page that converts visitors into leads.

Accessing Lead Page Setup #

  1. Navigate to your group page
  2. Click the Marketing tab
  3. Select Funnel Setup
  4. You will start on Step 1: Opt-in Page Customization

Configuring Your Lead Page #

Headline #

Your headline is the first thing visitors see. Write a compelling headline that speaks to your prospects:

  • Focus on the benefit to them, not your features
  • Create curiosity about your video content
  • Keep it clear and concise

Examples:

  • Watch Our Free Video: How to Choose the Perfect Music for Your Wedding
  • See Why Brides Are Raving About Our String Quartet
  • Discover the Secret to an Unforgettable Corporate Event

Call-to-Action Button Text #

Customize the text on your submit button. The default is “Check Availability” but you can change it to:

  • Watch the Video
  • Get Instant Access
  • Show Me the Video
  • See Our Showcase

Event Types #

Select which event types appear in the dropdown on your lead form. Common options include:

  • Wedding
  • Corporate Event
  • Nonprofit Gala
  • Private Party
  • Anniversary
  • Birthday

Only show event types you actually serve to keep the form focused.

Background Image #

Upload a custom background image to brand your lead page. Recommendations:

  • Use a high-quality image of your group performing
  • Choose an image that is not too busy (text needs to be readable)
  • Recommended size: 1920×1080 pixels or larger
  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG

Show Video Carousel #

Toggle this option to display a carousel of your group videos on the lead page. This gives visitors a preview before they opt in.

When to enable:

  • You have multiple high-quality videos
  • You want to build trust before asking for information

When to disable:

  • You want a cleaner, simpler page
  • You prefer to save videos for the video page

What Information is Collected #

The lead form automatically collects:

  • First Name: Required
  • Last Name: Required
  • Email: Required
  • Event Type: Required (dropdown from your configured types)
  • Event Date: Required (calendar picker)
  • Venue: Optional (Google Places autocomplete)

Google Places Venue Integration #

The venue field uses Google Places to help prospects find and select their venue. When they start typing:

  • Autocomplete suggestions appear
  • Selecting a venue captures the place ID
  • City and state are automatically extracted

If the venue does not exist in your database, it is automatically created when the lead submits.

Your Lead Page URL #

Once configured, your lead page is available at:

https://booklive.com/funnel/your-group-url/lead

Share this URL in:

  • Facebook and Instagram ads
  • Your website
  • Email marketing
  • Social media posts
  • Google Ads

What Happens When a Lead Submits #

When a prospect fills out the form and submits:

  1. A new client record is created in BookLive
  2. An inquiry is created and linked to the client
  3. All group leaders receive a notification
  4. The visitor is redirected to your video page
  5. If configured, a proposal is automatically created
  6. If configured, the client is enrolled in your workflow

UTM Parameter Tracking #

The lead page automatically captures UTM parameters from the URL:

  • utm_source – Where the traffic came from
  • utm_medium – Marketing medium (cpc, email, social)
  • utm_campaign – Campaign name
  • utm_content – Ad variation
  • utm_term – Search keywords

Add these to your lead page URL to track which campaigns drive the most leads:

Best Practices #

Keep It Simple #

The lead page should have one goal: get the visitor to submit their information. Remove distractions and keep the focus on the form.

Create Urgency #

Use language that encourages immediate action:

  • Limited availability for 2025 dates
  • Watch now before you forget
  • See why we book up quickly

Build Trust #

If you enable the video carousel, visitors can see your work before committing. You can also display your review rating on the page.

Test Your Page #

Before launching ads, test your lead page yourself:

  1. Visit the URL in an incognito browser
  2. Fill out the form with test data
  3. Verify you are redirected to the video page
  4. Check that the client record was created
