This article explains what credits are, how your monthly allowance works, how to see what you have left, and what to do when you run low. ## What Gigbot Credits Are Credits are the meter for how much Gigbot does for you. A short question such as “What gigs do I have this weekend?” costs very little. A long back-and-forth where Gigbot looks up many records, or a single request that makes several changes, spends more. You never need to calculate anything: Gigbot tracks the cost for you. There are two kinds of credits: - **Monthly allowance:** Every member who has Gigbot gets an allowance each month. It refills on its own at the start of the next month, and a Pro membership comes with a larger allowance. Unused allowance does not carry over. - **Purchased credits:** If you buy a top-up pack, those credits roll over from month to month. They are only spent after your monthly allowance has run out, so you never lose them by buying early. If you are an Academy member, you also receive your own Gigbot allowance for working through your course. If you hold both Pro and an Academy allowance, you get the larger of the two, not the two added together. ## Step 1: Open Gigbot 1. Log in at [https://booklive.com/login](https://booklive.com/login). 2. Click the Gigbot launcher, which is available on every page once you are signed in. You can drag the launcher to a spot that suits you, and BookLive remembers where you put it. On a phone, the panel opens full-screen. ## Step 2: Check Your Balance The Gigbot panel shows your credit balance and a top-up button. You can also simply ask: - “How many Gigbot credits do I have left?” - “What are Gigbot credits?” Gigbot knows how many credits remain in this month’s allowance and how many purchased credits you hold in reserve, and it will tell you both numbers. As you get close to your limit, the panel warns you before Gigbot stops answering. ## Step 3: Buy a Top-Up Pack When You Need One 1. Open the Gigbot panel. 2. Click the top-up button. 3. Choose a pack and complete the payment. Purchased credits are added to your account once the payment completes, and they stay there until you use them. ## Step 4: Make Your Credits Go Further - **Ask for what you want in one message.** A clear, complete request usually costs less than several small follow-ups. - **Start a new conversation for a new topic.** Long conversations carry more history, so a fresh thread for an unrelated question is cheaper. - **Approve changes in batches.** Gigbot can add several musicians, rewrite a whole workflow’s emails, or clear an untouched batch of Gig Vault entries with a single approval rather than one per item. ## Tips & Notes - There is also a daily limit that stops a runaway conversation from using up your whole month in one afternoon. If you reach it, your allowance is not lost. Try again the next day. - Nothing is changed in your account without your approval. When Gigbot wants to create, edit or delete something, it shows you exactly what it plans to do, and you choose **Yes** or **No** before anything runs. - Use the thumbs up or thumbs down under any answer to tell us whether it helped. A thumbs-down asks why in a sentence, which helps us improve Gigbot. - You can delete any conversation from the history list. Conversations nobody has touched in 90 days are removed automatically.
