Every client you work with in BookLive builds a history — past performances, proposals, emails, and inquiries — all stored in one place. This article shows you how to view a client’s performance history so you can quickly see what you’ve performed for them, when, and where, and use that context to strengthen the relationship and win repeat business.
Before You Begin #
- You must be logged in to BookLive at https://booklive.com/login.
- The client must already exist in your client database. If they don’t, create them first (Managing Client Contacts and Information in BookLive).
Step 1: Open the Client Record #
- Click Clients in the main navigation menu on the left side of the screen.
- Find the client you want to review. You can scroll through the list or use the Search bar at the top to search by name, email, phone, or company.
- Click the client’s name to open their record.
Step 2: Navigate to the Performances Tab #
Once you’re inside the client record, you’ll see a row of tabs near the top of the page — including Activity, Emails, Proposals, and Performances. Click the Performances tab.
If the client has any performances linked to their record, the tab label will show a count — for example, Performances (3).
Step 3: Review Performance History #
The Performances tab displays a card for each performance associated with this client. Each card includes:
- Performance title — the name or event type of the booking
- Date — the full date of the performance (e.g., Saturday, June 14th 2025)
- Venue — where the performance took place (if a venue was attached)
- Start time — the scheduled start time of the event
- Group — which of your musical groups performed at this event
Performances are listed with the most relevant details visible at a glance. You can scroll through the list if the client has multiple bookings.
Step 4: Open a Specific Performance #
To see the full details of any past performance — including payments, contracts, timelines, and notes — click View Details on the performance card, or click anywhere on the card itself. This will take you directly into that performance record.
From there, you can review everything that was arranged for that event and use it as a reference when preparing for future bookings with the same client.
Tips & Notes #
- Performances are linked automatically when you attach a client to a performance. If a performance isn’t showing up here, check whether a client was attached to it. You can do this from inside the performance record under the Client section.
- Use history for upsells and repeat bookings. If you can see that a client booked you for their wedding two years ago, you already have context to reach out about anniversary parties, corporate events, or referrals.
- Activity tab vs. Performances tab: The Activity tab shows a broader log of interactions — emails sent, inquiries received, and performance milestones. The Performances tab shows only the bookings themselves, giving you a cleaner view of the client’s event history.
- Proposals (quotes or estimates that were never confirmed) appear separately under the Proposals tab, not under Performances.
