The Payouts & Transfers page gives you a group-wide log of every BookLive Pay musician payout your group has made — complete with Stripe Transfer IDs, recipient details, and summary stats. Use it to verify that a payout reached a musician’s Stripe account, reconcile your payment records, or audit who was paid for a specific performance.
Before You Begin #
- You must be a group leader or admin to access this page.
- Only payouts processed through BookLive Pay (Stripe) appear here. Manually logged musician payments are tracked on the per-performance Payments tab instead.
- Musicians must have a connected Stripe account to receive BookLive Pay payouts.
Step 1: Open Payouts & Transfers #
- Log in at https://booklive.com/login.
- Navigate to your group dashboard.
- In the left sidebar, click Finances to expand the Finances section.
- Click Payouts & Transfers under Finances.
The page loads all BookLive Pay artist payouts for your group, sorted by date with the most recent first.
Step 2: Filter by Recipient (Optional) #
To narrow the list to a single musician, click the Filter by Recipient dropdown and select their name. The dropdown is populated automatically from the musicians who have received at least one payout. To clear the filter and show all payouts again, click the ✕ icon inside the dropdown.
Step 3: Review the Summary Stats #
When payouts are present, four stat cards appear above the table. These update automatically when you apply a recipient filter:
- Total Payouts — The combined dollar amount of all payouts currently shown (filtered or unfiltered).
- Total Transfers — The combined amount of payouts that have a confirmed Stripe Transfer ID, meaning the funds were successfully sent to the musician’s Stripe account.
- Payout Count — The total number of payout records currently displayed.
- With Stripe Transfers — The number of payouts that include a Stripe Transfer ID. If this is lower than Payout Count, some payouts may still be processing or may have been recorded without an associated transfer.
Step 4: Read the Payout Table #
Each row in the table represents a single musician payout. The columns are:
- Performance Title — The name of the performance the payout is linked to. Click the title to open that performance record. Displays N/A if the payout has no associated performance.
- Payout Date — The date and time the payout was recorded in BookLive.
- Amount — The dollar amount paid to the musician.
- Stripe Transfer ID — The unique Stripe transfer identifier (e.g.,
tr_1ABC…). If present, an Open Stripe Dashboard link appears beneath it, taking you directly to your Stripe account to look up the transfer. If no transfer ID exists, the cell reads No Transfer ID in gray. - Recipient — The musician who received the payout. Click their name to open their musician profile in your group.
- Payment Method — The payout method used (e.g., BookLive Pay, bank transfer).
You can sort the table by clicking any column header. Use the rows-per-page selector at the bottom to show 10, 20, 30, 50, or 100 records at a time.
Tips & Notes #
- Payouts vs. Payroll Report: The Payroll Report (under Finances > Payroll Report) gives you a per-musician annual or lifetime summary — useful for tax season. The Payouts & Transfers page shows individual transaction-level records with Stripe Transfer IDs — useful for reconciliation and verification.
- Editing or deleting payouts: BookLive Pay payouts cannot be edited or deleted from this page because they represent real Stripe transactions. To adjust a manually logged musician payment, use the Payments tab on the individual performance record.
- No Transfer ID? A payout with No Transfer ID may indicate that the musician’s Stripe account was not yet active or fully verified at the time of the payout. Check the musician’s BookLive Pay status and your Stripe dashboard for details.
